You are primarily bound by the policy provisions of your chosen insurance provider. Policies with processed claims are not entitled to any cancellation and refund.
Under pertinent regulations of the Bureau of Internal Revenue, liability for Documentary Stamp Tax (DST) accrues upon issuance of the Insurance Policy. Hence the event of cancellation of this Policy under Section 64 of the Insurance Code, you will be held liable for DST subsists and the same.
Should you resolve to cancel your policy, earned premiums shall be computed in accordance to short-rate calculation, after deduction of applicable taxes and admin charges.
GIBCO reserves the right to require additional documents and information as, in its discretion, is reasonably necessary to effectively process the cancellation and/or refund application.
In case of approval, you will be duly notified by GIBCO as to the mode and manner of its return together with the written notification of approval of your application.

We will guide you through the process. Upon cancellation approval, we’ll return all paid premiums net of DST and Taxes within 30 days from the time we acknowledge your request for cancellation.
